Season 5: Alliance Cooldown Zone Selection
Preparations for Season 5 begin as early as the off-season. In the last week of Season 4 The server president selects an area on the new Wild West map. The map consists of several individual areas. In the center is a particularly valuable central area that will be unlocked later in the season.
The Gold Rush Rank Crucial. Servers with a higher rank take priority in the selection process. After each region selection, there is a 12-hour cooldown period.
How the Gold Rush Rank Works
The Gold Rush rank is determined by the Gold Rush competition. In this competition, commanders collect gems and work their way through various levels. The region selection is based not on the server average, but on the performance of the top 100 commanders in a war zone.
- The president selects the area to be designated as a war zone.
- The order is based on the Gold Rush rank.
- The better the Top 100 perform, the earlier the server gets to vote.
- After making a selection, there is a 12-hour cooldown period.
- The central area won't become important until the middle of the season.
For active servers, itโs therefore worth taking the Gold Rush competition seriously. A better starting position can provide a noticeable advantage later on when it comes to banks, cities, and resources.
Making the Most of Your Allianz Retirement
Each alliance can limit its combat readiness once a day, thereby creating a longer rest period. This is especially important when many members are not active during certain times on the server.
The battle phases occur at the following server times:
- 4:00 a.m. โ 5:00 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m. โ 1:00 p.m.
- 8:00 p.m. โ 9:00 p.m.
! Attention: During the Rest Period are Declarations of war and Conquests against cities and bases in your alliance Not possible. However, your alliance can still even attack other targets. Therefore, don't set the rest period randomly; instead, set it to match the Your Alliance's Activity Times.

Caffeine Lab, Coffee Roastery, and Coffee Buffs
The Caffeine lab is one of the key buildings in Last War Season 5. It increases your virus resistance, making you stronger against seasonal enemies and in contaminated areas. To upgrade it, you need coffee. You produce this mainly through the Coffee roastery, which in turn requires coffee beans.
This creates a clear sequence: First, collect coffee beans; then, upgrade the coffee roastery; produce coffee; and finally, expand the caffeine lab. Players who consistently follow this sequence will reach higher goals and earn better rewards more quickly.
Coffee Recipes and Buffs in Season 5
In the Caffeine Lab, you can make coffee regularly. Each specialty coffee gives you an 8-hour buff after you drink it. You can stockpile up to three cups per recipe.

! Attention: The Plague Chicken is a particularly tough opponent in the Wasteland and offers additional rewards for your first kill of the day. These include, among other things, potential coffee recipes, resources, and tactic cards. With a combat power of around 38.5 million, you shouldn't underestimate it.
Crystal Gold in Season 5: Shop, Banks, and Interest Rates
Crystal gold is the most important currency of the Wild West season. You can earn it through first kills, town and bank actions, High Noon, bank interest, regular income from alliance towns, and the Fortuna trade train. Crystal Gold is especially valuable because you can exchange it for important seasonal items in the Crystal Gold Shop.
Banks are another important source. After capturing a bank, you can deposit crystal gold and later retrieve it, along with interest. This is especially worthwhile if your alliance reliably holds onto banks and you check your deposits regularly.
Bank Deposits and Interest
| Banking Rule | What You Should Keep in Mind |
|---|---|
| Deposit | Up to 6,000 Crystal Gold can be deposited per bank deposit. |
| Time deposits | You can have a maximum of three fixed-term deposits open at the same time. |
| Deposits by Bank | Up to 100 deposits are allowed per bank. |
| Payout | Upon maturity, the deposit, including interest, will be paid out via email. |

Anyone who uses the standard Allianz Train will recognize some of the basic ideas. At Fortuna, however, the focus is on the whiskey trade.
Sell Whiskey through Fortuna
- Whiskey can be sold at the stations along the trade route.
- The sales volume is limited per commander.
- The more goods that are to be sold, the more stations the train must pass through.
- Items offered at lower prices are sold first.
- Unsold merchandise is returned to inventory.
- Starting in Week 3, the Premium Sale may offer additional options.

- For defense, you should use your strongest viable unit.
! Attention: After an attack, the defense troops' health bar does not regenerate immediately. It will not be restored until the train reaches the next station. Therefore, don't plan your defense too tightly.

One Response
Bonjour,
Thank you for this wonderful website, which has been a huge help to me since the first season. Now that Iโm approaching Season 5, Iโm viewing the corresponding pages on the desktop version, and many paragraphs arenโt translated (they remain in German, even when I change the language to French or English). Some sentences start in one language and end in another. For the other seasons, the texts are translated correctly. Only those from Season 5 are affected.
The mobile version is flawless.
